Carole Muller died in Sydney on December 22, 2017, at the age of 81.

Carole and her husband Peter Muller, the Australian architect, are the originators of the Tropical Style architectural movement, a marriage of the traditional thatch-roofed pavilion and comfort, with a glamorous garden bathroom and luxuriously fitted out. This became Bali’s iconic look in the 1980s and turned into an international trend. It started with the Bali Oberoi in the 1970s and the world-famous Amandari in the late 1980s.
Assisted and supported by Carole, Peter Muller left his lasting mark on villa and boutique resort design through their pioneering work in designing the Amandari in Ubud and The Oberoi.
Friends of Carole Muller will be holding a commemorative party for her at the Tandjung Sari Hotel in Sanur on Sunday, 21 January 2018, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

All who remember Carole are welcome to attend.
The Tandjung Sari Hotel will serve free-flow mocktails and canapés. A contribution of Rp. 200,000 at the door is requested to defray expenses.
Those wishing to attend should register their intentions by telephoning the organizers at +62 – (0) 811 389 326.
